The Irish Frame drum played with a single stick. Prepared goatskin is attached to one side of the bodhran and a hand is placed against the inside skin to affect the bodhran's tone. To find out more about the bodhran, please use the menus in the left margin.

Bodojo is Back!

We're back online after a few days without front page access.

Apologies for the break in service. We had a hack attempt and also had some software conflicts after upgrading the video software. It's had a spring clean now.

I'm taking the opportunity to upgrade some software - things might go a bit unstable for a half hour but bear with me. it should be twiddly but straightforward :).

Bodojo is delighted to present BoWiki. A Bodojo Community Project to develop an online bodhran Glossary / Encyclopedia that our members can use to learn & share.

BoWiki is a full-blown Wiki like Wikipedia and operates along the same principles; All members are able to edit the content to improve upon it. Through the continual update-actions of the community we should arrive at a concensus view on all things bodhran.

We ask all members to get involved by reading the articles, looking for improvements, adding links, changing text or even by creating new articles.
