We would like all drums types to be noted for the Bodbase archive, for customer feedback / review, because their details are useful to the second hand market and simply because they are of interest to bodhranistorians & nerds like me who love that kind of stuff.

If you use a particular drum model on a youtube video, link it through to bodhran.tv and post / embed the bodhran.TV link

Please help other purchasers and learning players by a leaving an honest comment / or review on a drum that you have played. On-site Advertising

We are changing our advertising focus away from Google Adsense to provide advertising that reflect the actual bodhran community.

• Adverts must conform to the site Advertising policy
• Adverts will be relevant to the instrument
• Pages that are contributed by others may use Google AdSense in order that the contributor may benefit from their own work.
• A limited number of advertising slots will be available. Each slot position is allocated using a bidding system. More details to follow.

Why does bodojo need to have advertising? 

Our strategy is to constantly develop, upgrade and promote the bodojo website to continue it as the ultimate free bodhran resource. This is placing increasing demands on our resources viz time, technology and our actual cash investment in function-providing software.

The types of services that we are starting to offer to the bodhran community require increasing amounts of manual interaction for setup, approval, confirmation etc, this is necessary to ensure that the site is not abused and that your visit experience is the one we designed for you. The site is only automatic for the visitor, I have to actually physically do stuff under the hood before it all works!  When I add in content generation, research, all kinds of development & housekeeping, it fast becomes a significant number of hours per week.

Advertising revenue is a core element of maintaining the Bodojo site as free to use for our visitors, you have to admit, it is great value for money :).

If there were no advertising we would require paid subscriptions or some other method to make the ends meet.
