It’s been awhile since I visited these pages and I look forward to reacquainting myself with the site's contents and community.
I also took a slight hiatus from playing ( a little hand injury, that is now better)and want to get back up to speed by going back to basics.
I recently picked up Eamon Murray's
Bodhran Soup and found it awesome and most welcomed in light that I wanted to pick up the stick again.
I believe in synchronicity and the law of attraction and after declaring that I wanted to get back into playing, along comes an email from Blayne Chastain about his online bodhran course. I'd taken a few online whistle lessons from him (very good) and purchased a number of tippers from his store Whistle & Drum. I decided to enroll in his bodhran course as well and it’s pretty good at going over the basics. Unlike Eamon, Blayne favors the Kerry style so the instructions complement one another for anybody seeking a fuller set of playing styles.
I haven't any commercial/financial connection to Blayne but thought others might want to check out his course. You can find an introduction at:
