I didn't know Paul but I would like to pass this Old Irish Prayer along to his Family and Friends ,,,
Deep peace of the running waves to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the smiling stars to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the watching shepherds to you.
Deep peace of the Son of Peace to you

Remembered Joy
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all...
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss...
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life's been full, I've savoured much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—
Don't shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.
" Slán agus beannacht leat "
( Goodbye and blessings with you )

Paul-
Heya boy, hope all is well. I miss you already. I was told of what happened today man. Here I am in Denmark, moving over to this side of the Atlantic all for the influence of folk like yourself. I am so upset, but I dunno what really to say. You were one of the tastiest bodhran players I have ever heard (thats's the playing, not the measure of your backside!!!!!), and I was happy to meet you this past summer in Milwaukee. You changed the way I play, from top to bottom, its as simple as that. You know what I mean, raking the tacks with the stick and all that! Look, man, you will be remembered by all of us as a person who changed the foundation of how this instrument is played. You were up there with the best and there is no doubt at all that. Cheers and fare well, my friend.
Rob

I am new to this community, but Paul's fame was large enough for me to have heard about him, even if I never had the chance to meet him.
I sincerely mourn the loss. He will remain an inspiration and an encouragement to progress and learn.
Lead our hands, Paul, and teach the angels beautiful rhythms for when we all join you in the Great session in the skies.

Paul is always the
guy that sat
beside me on Inis Oirr during our first classes at Craiceann
in 2001. I remember how I felt happy when he won his first All Ireland Title and
how he texted me back when I texted him my "Congratulations!"
We met a couple of times after that in Donegal and it was always with
great joy...
I can't believe it.
My thoughts are with him and his family and friends
Rolf
