I do a lot of this kind of thing because it's more fun that practising with a pad and they are valid percussionist instruments. I thought it may be useful to show that once we have taken the time to gain skills, we can explore other outlets for those apart from the bodhran. There was a thread on the Yahoo group about air bodhran :) and this thread is relevant to not needing specific tools.

It will make us annoying once we know what the mighty biro can do :).

Just wondering what anyone else does that's useful in terms of practise and exploration and is maybe a wee bit off-line :)
