Although new to Bodhran, i have thought even just for the Craic/Crack,it would good to to Kerry next year to taste, the sights, the sounds and indeed the smells!!
Just wondering what the whole experience is like from fellow goat whackers!!

I was there last year and it was a good time. Mostly kids in the competitions one upping each other in a friendly sort of way. Good fun. Very very high standard of playing from them all there, in particular those under 17 really made away with the whole competition. Of course besides the competition itself the chat, banter, sessions and etc are a good time. Worth going. You also might check into the workshops and who may be teaching, again particularly if one of the younger crowd (e.g. Colm Phelan or Niall Preston or etc.) may be teaching.
