A Wee Christmas Message

Happy Christmas everyone and best wishes for a great 2006.

The latter part of 2005 was a period of great change for the bodojo site which separated from its drumdojo parent. It was a big year for bodhranii too - the yahoo group that now forms the basis of the Bodhrandojo online community. The recent alliance of these two entities has already proven to be a positive move in the support of the wider bodhran playing and making community.

As moderators, we receive notifications of new subscribers and it seems like every day we have new people joining with only the very occasional unsubscription. We thank members new and those of long standing for your continued interest and support.

For 2006 there are further development plans in the pipeline - Look for reviews of some of the best professional instruments currently available from Metloef, O'Kane, Hedwitschak and the Eckermann, the latter would appear to be santa's personal choice :). We will also be reviewing Cds, launching competitions as well as a new online bulletin board for those whom the email format doesn't suit.

We remain open to your suggestions, comments and feedback, whilst we provide you with the best quality information that we can. We invite items for review and written articles relevant to the drum - If you're interested in contributing drop us a line or send us a draft and we'll feed back to you.
