Adding A New Auction Item

Add an item to the bBay Auctions.

You must be registered to make a bid or to add an item to the auction - You can register here .

Click on the bBay link in the top menu to access the main bBay pages.
In the Auction Menu select My Auctions - This page displays your current Auctions

At the top left click on New

Bid Auction Details

Title of the Item
Use one of the categories - This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it if you find that difficult.
Yes publish
Short description 10 - 30 words about the item
Full Description using HTML editor -
- Images may be included in the html section
- link to bodhran.tv. where possible
- No file uploads apart from images are accepted.

Photos and Pictures

Attach a photo of the item for sale.

Click on the browse button
Find the image youw ant on your local PC
Upload
- We appreciate images under 50k.
You may add up to 10 images using the additional pictures box

Other Settings

The Start date should be today's date automatically
Set the end date to match your needs
- We recommend 3 -10 day long auctions
- Commercial sellers may make this date a long time ahead
- Buy it Now products are continually available, This is is a 'Dutch Auction'.
Set the start bid amount. This needs to be reasonable to encourage bidders.
All Auctions are carried out in US$

Auction Type

There are different auction types available to you

Buy it now option (BIN)

This displays a special 'buy it now' link.
- If a bidder clicks on the link they are offering to purchase the auction item for the visible fixed price set by the vendor.
Items with a BIN are also available to receive for regular auction bids.
- If you are receiving bids well below your BIN price you may not be being competitive.
If you select 'Auction with BIN' a new box will appear asking you to set the BIN pricefor this item.

There are two different auction types available.

Public and Private

The public auction
- bids are conducted in public such as on ebay etc
the Private Auction
- Bids are made privately
- No-one except the vendor sees the bids
- The vendor selects the winning bid and rejects the others

Manual / Automatic

Automatic Auction means that the system closes the auction when the end time has arrived and awards the item to the bidder with the highest bid.
In the case of a BIN it will close the auction automatically. This is good if youonly have one item.
You may choose to manually select the winner of the auction - this is the basic mechanism for setting a reserve price. If you do not feel the bids are sufficiently high, you may refuse to sell the item.
- Using the manual auction option is the way a commercial user maintains Dutch Auctions

Please note that once an auction is created and a bid has been made you are unable to change these options.

The Payment info field reflects the payment types that you are set up to receive for this auction. I the case of the bodojo auctions, this is 'seller will contact'. This means that the seller will contact you via our messaging system to arrange for payment and shipping. Bodojo.com does not touch your money!

For shipment info, please enter your shipping terms and preferences in here. Please be very clear to specify if you require pickup rather than mailing. Please indicate if shipping is included. This is where many disputes originate, Good information really helps.
